Look at these lips. I just can’t get over how perfect these little lips are. Only a few days old and so beautiful!

It was so wonderful to meet this beautiful little girl and her sweet little family! It was a great way to spend the day!

Before you start reading this post go here and share in my JOY!
So yesterday I decided that the little man and I need a “Mental Health Day.” (My online friend E calls it that and it sounds so much better than Hooky! Thanks E!) I have been feeling for the past year, like time is getting away from me, and I wanted a day to just be! So yesterday was that day for us.
I’m not sure if you noticed, but THE SUN WAS SHINING YESTERDAY! (and today also)…
So instead of just staying in our pj’s all day, we decided to take a little walk to the market for snacks.
We started out on a mission. We were going to walk 100 steps and take a picture of what we saw, then we were going to photograph everything that we saw on the sidewalk.
(This is what I see 100 steps outside my door, and down the sidewalk.)

One thing about photographing everything on the sidewalk is that you are always looking down. And you miss all the great stuff that is UP!
Sometimes I find myself doing that. Looking down. Looking down way too much! February was a bit of a blur for me, but as I look back on it, it was really a month of self reflection. I was just talking this over with a friend of mine (hey S!) and it was a major awakening. We gotta start looking up and seeing the beauty that is around us, and all the friends and blessings that surround us.

Up is beautiful!

Can’t wait to photograph this tree with leaves on it in the summer, and apples on it in the fall!
Now I’m not one to count my chickens before they hatch, BUT that is three days of sunshine in a row! The birds are singing, and I actually saw a few little blooms. Could it be, that spring actually is here? The long winter is over? Could it be?
PLEASE SAY YES!
