Oh the Snee! | KMC Portrait Photographer

You might remember this tree from last year… I had to read that post again for myself!

We are setting out on a little adventure tomorrow.  It just seems that everything just keeps trying to throw a wrench in my plans!  And all this snow…hummmm, not sure what to think.

So today I’m looking UP! once again.

I will be a little out of pocket over the next couple of weeks.  I have lots of free time and I’m planning lots of blog posts so stay tuned.  If I don’t answer e-mail back right away, just hang on, I plan on taking things super slow over the next few weeks.  I’m gonna enjoy the time I have with my little man!  I have a feeling that the “wonder of Christmas” is departing for things a little more “grown-up” and I can’t miss this opportunity!

Hope that everyone is enjoying this SNOW DAY!

A Perfect Fit | KMC Family and Child Photographer

This is Little Miss A.

This was a special day cause it was her first birthday!

Another special day is coming up for her and her family in a couple of weeks!  I know I will be celebrating among many friends and family.  Her Momma said it best, “The courts will just finally catch up to what we have known for over a year now.”  I totally agree!  If ever there was a little babe that fit so perfectly between two people, it’s little Miss A!  It’s pretty awesome to see.

Sometimes things just don’t work out the way you planned them.

Sometimes it’s BETTER than you had planned.

It might not have been the beginning that they had expected, but I know that this “parenthood ride” is actually turning out better than they expected!   And everyday is a little bit sweeter.

Little Miss B | KMC Newborn Portrait Photographer

Sweet little angel girl.  She had quite the day, with appointments and running around before she got to me.  So she wasn’t all that happy with the fact that I was messing with her.  You may remember the little sneak I posted for Mom and Dad here.

But everyone was patient and wonderful and I think these are my most favorite family style newborn shots.  She is such a beauty and I love Mom’s smile!

Spike | KMC Children’s Portrait Photographer

These girls were so cute and wonderful.  I was on a high for weeks after their session.  Such sweet little personalities and the sweetest Momma that knows each one of them inside and out!  Well, of course she would, she’s the Momma!  But a little glance here, or a tongue held just the right way, and Momma would say, “That is so her!  And she gets it from her Dad!”  Makes my heart sigh, in a good way.

As we were playing, the girls kept finding lots and lots of “conkers” (aka. chestnuts).  No kidding, there were piles of them by the time we were done.  The girls kept telling me they were going to make me a hedgehog from one of them, and they did just that!  Meet Spike!

His nose happens to be a super tiny “conker.”  Isn’t he just the cutest?!  He hangs out on top of my screen with his rainbow froggie friends.  Sometimes they sing the most wonderful songs!  Spike sings bass of course!

I’m off on a little adventure this week with the promise of lots of gnomes, and I’ll be sharing on the Simply Taken Facebook fan page if you want to follow along.

Just a little Snippet | KMC Family Portrait Photographer

I just loved this video from one of the Red Couch sessions and couldn’t help but share just a little snippet.  It’s the very end, but it makes me all shades of happy when I watch it!  (more to come from this family soon!)
