Jordan | KMC Senior Portrait Photographer

Inspired by this lovely lady today.  I meet Jordan a little over a year ago while she was working with a group I was involved in for a short time.  It quickly became evident to me that this girl has the most giving spirit for someone so young.  She has a focus and determination of someone that is well beyond her years.  But what has impressed me the most is her faith.   An unwavering faith with boldness.  An amazing combo!  I know that makes her unstoppable.

Congrats Jordan!  Here’s to an amazing new beginning!

Kelly | KMC Senior Portrait Photographer

I have been out of the country a bit this past week.  It was a super spur of the moment opportunity that I just couldn’t pass up.  That’s honestly way I love to travel.  Just jump on the plane and go!  In fact this trip was so amazing that I might just do that more often!  Anyway,  one day as I was driving back to the hotel, I saw a beautiful sailboat out on the water and couldn’t wait to get out there and take a few shots of it!  As I was running to grab all the necessary equipment that I thought I would need, a friend looked at me and said, “That is how you see everything isn’t it!  In a picture!”   And truthfully it is!

The Purple Door is one of those “I’ve seen it in a picture” moments.  I pass by this door several times a week, and each time I’ve thought that I need to find the right person to photograph in front of it!    When I met Kelly for our session, I KNEW she was the one, so I convinced her family to go with me and we headed to the Purple Door.  These images are just what I had hoped they would be, and I’ve since changed the name to “Kelly’s Door”.

Lots of Blog posts coming your way in the next week.  I’ll be back in Germany for a bit before heading out again, and I have so much to share with you from past sessions as well as new ones in the next couple of weeks.   As of right now I’m booked through mid August, so if you are interest in a Fall shoot, now is the time to schedule.    I have several “I’ve seen it in a picture” locations planned and would love to have you or your family in one of them!

A little Snow | KMC Senior Portrait Photographer

I’m looking at a nice blue sky and a beautiful sunrise right now.  I’m crossing all my fingers and toes and I’m very hopeful that the worst of winter is behind us and we can slowly start looking forward to spring.  OH, I know, I’m gonna get e-mail telling me that it’s not time yet, but I believe that if we all start thinking and saying that spring is on it’s way, then it WILL get here!

I’m not much of a fan of snow or winter, but this Senior changed my mind a little!  I think this could have been the fastest shoot of all time!  She contacted me for a mini shoot now so that she could make the yearbook cut off, and then our plan is to have a longer regular session in the spring.  It just so happened  there was snow on the ground, but we went for it, and I’m SO GLAD we did!  I love how these images turned out!  She is a beauty and I can’t wait to get my camera on her this spring!

If you are a Senior in the area for 2011, it’s not too late to schedule your portrait session!  This is the an awesome way to commemorate the end of a great year and the local surroundings make for beautiful backgrounds, even in the snow!  (wink, <3)

Jordan | KMC Senior Portraits

This is Jordan, and she is one of the Senior Reps for 2011.  I had such and awesome time photographing her!  She also has an interest in Photography so I brought along a few vintage cameras.  Then we put a vintage flare on a few of the shots and I loved the way they turned out!

On a business note:   If you haven’t scheduled your Sr Portraits, now is the time.  I only have a few sessions left for spring!  I’m also looking for my 2012 Senior Reps, and if you have someone you would like to nominate please send me a note!

Libby | Senior Portrait Photographer

I’m totally going to date myself here, and if you can do the math you will realize that I’m not really 29 yrs old (just in case there was any doubt! HA!)    I’ve known Libby her whole life.  In fact, her Momma was pregnant at my wedding and just didn’t know it yet.  I saw her tiny baby pictures and I’m sure I played patty cake with her once or twice.   I’ve seen her grown from that little freckled face kid into a beautiful young lady.  A beautiful young lady that will be graduating from high school.

It’s a little scary how time can fly by like that sometimes.

Any-who… I didn’t work much while I was in Texas, cause I was busy soaking up every second that I could spend with my Momma, but I did grab these shots of Libby in honor of her Sr. year.

The jet lag nearly got me down this time, people.  Two weeks!  But I’ve gone two whole days without a nap so I think I got it kicked!  Bring on 2011!
